Summary:l |
Wigan's league fate was still not fully decided at this
point, so this could have been a semi final that would be repeated in the
Championship Play Offs as well. Given Wigan's late season league woes it was
easy to forget they were still in the cup but league leading Hull put paid
to that with victory at Huddersfield's Fartown ground. The absences of
Johnny Ring, Danny Hurcombe, Jerry Shea and Tom Woods to injury didn't help
Wigan but they battled hard, to no avail. |
