Wigan got back on track in the league with this scrappy
win at Widnes on an afternoon of matches spoiled by poor weather. Widnes
took a 2-0 lead and held it into the second half before a hat-trick from Tom
Coles broke them down. Second placed Hull's match at York was postponed
whilst Oldham, Huddersfield and Swinton all won.
