Summary:l
An "astonishing" win considering the state of the field
was poor due to heavy rain. It was only 12-3 at the break but Wigan ran riot
after the half time. Wigan had built up a big lead at the top of the table.
In this era the number of league fixtures played was often uneven so it was
points percentage that was what you had to build up. Wigan had a points
percentage of 91.66 after this game with second place Hull being on just
80.95. It was a strong position to take into the second half of the year.
