A match "full of thrilling incidents" and an "exciting
finish". Wigan had started quickly with a 10-0 lead established in as many
minutes. That lead held until half time, however by the hour mark the home side
had levelled up at 10 all. But Tom Coles scored the game clinching try that
Wigan held onto despite Jim Sullivan not converting.
