Summary:l

So the scene was set for Wigan to clinch the title on a Saturday Afternoon in front of the Granada TV Cameras. They needed just a point to seal it with two games to spare and the opponents were Bradford who they had beaten 71-10 in a Challenge Cup Semi Final two Saturdays earlier. Though not quite a repeat of that, Wigan still produced a rout to clinch the title in style.
