Summary:l

Wigan chose to re-arrange this match against Hull KR for this Sunday despite the fact Shaun Edwards, Martin Dermott, Kelvin Skerrett, Andy Platt and Denis Betts were playing for Great Britain against France in Hull the day before. Their had also been an Under 21 International on the Friday, which David Myers had played in, but although not recalling all their test starts, they still beat Hull KR in good fashion. It was a double bonus for Wigan with Castleford and Saints, sandwiching them in the league table, drawing 8-8 at Wheldon Road allowing Wigan to take over at the top on points difference.
