Wigan were glad to get back to league action for the first time in a month. Five League Fixtures had been postponed due to Regal Trophy Action and a Challenge Cup Preliminary Round tie and St Helens had taken advantage to go six points clear at the top of the table following victories over Leigh, Hull KR and Halifax. Wigan did have the games in hand but they were now under pressure to win them all, starting with this fixture against Wakefield Trinity and they only led 16-14 after 61 minutes but some late scores helped flattered the end result.

Half Time:

Colin Steele (Dalton-in-Furness)

Match had previously been postponed on Sunday 17th January 1993 (3:00pm) due to Wigan playing in Challenge Cup Preliminary Round
