This was a tight Regal Trophy Semi Final for 20 minutes
but the deadlock was broken by Martin Hall darting under the posts for a 6-0
lead. Then on 24 minutes, Marvin Golden's failure to defend a grubber saw
Henry Paul hack on, collect and then round under the posts for 12-0. Kris
Radlinski then claimed a third try after he collected a lovely chip over by
Shaun Edwards. Leeds in 8 minutes had fallen 18-0 down and Paul added a
penalty for 20-0 by the break. Leeds needed the first score of the second
half but Paul's offload got Gary Connolly in for a 46th Minute try that made
it 26-0 and six minutes later a solo try by Jason Robinson made it 32-0 with
all the conversions being sweet. Neil Harmon got a try back for Leeds but
Connolly claimed a superb second try just after the hour to make it 38-6.
Leeds did find three consolation tries late from Adrian Morley and two for
George Mann but they came far too late to have any affect on the contest.
