No one would know at the time it kicked off, but the 1994-1995 season would prove to be the last full winter season before the switch to summer rugby in 1996. Wigan began this season at Featherstone and practically had the game won after 22 minutes. They had score five tries with Frano Botica scoring two and others coming from Kelvin Skerrett, Paul Atcheson and Jason Robinson. That made it 26-0 but a try from Andy Currier reduced that to 26-6 before half time. Wigan only added one try second half and although Rovers went over for three, Wigan always had enough to edge home.

Half Time:

Featherstone 6 Wigan 26
