Injuries to Nigel Wright, Phil Clarke and Paul Atcheson
on the Sunday at Hull KR were not welcome news ahead of two crunch matches
against Bradford in the title race but at least Kelvin Skerrett, Dean Bell
and Frano Botica were able to be recalled. In this match at Odsal, Bradford
took a 4-0 lead with a Carl Hall try with Wigan only responding with an
injury time try from Shaun Edwards that Frano Botica converted for a 6-4
half time lead. Bradford were back in front just three minutes after the
restart with Dave Watson sending Karl Fairbank in and Deryck Fox's
conversion made it 10-6. Amazingly, no further scoring occurred in the last
37 minutes of the contest with Bradford claiming a big win. Wigan now needed
to win the return at Central Park on the Friday or the title would be lost.
Bradford 4 Wigan 6

This match had been abandoned back on Friday
19th November 1993 (7:30pm) due to Fog.
