Summary:

Wigan were well in the title race but their was none of the style of the previous seasons. They got the win here away at bottom of the table Leigh but it was another laboured performance with Leigh having held an 8-6 lead at Half Time. Wigan though were comforted by the fact rivals Bradford and Warrington were playing each other but the fact Bradford won 27-10 at Wilderspool meant they remained top and Wigan in second place.

Half Time:

Leigh 8 Wigan 6
