This match was a match between the top two in the league
table but ended up being abandoned. The game had kicked off in reasonable
conditions and Frano Botica had put Wigan 2-0 up with a third minute penalty
goal before Gerald Cordle put Bradford 4-2 up with a gift try after a Martin
Offiah error. Conditions had quickly became farcical though with Sky TV
coverage soon being unable to make out what was happening on the field.
Referee Russell Smith took the sides off the field after 13 minutes had been
played and conditions didn't improve, so the match was abandoned. The result
was obviously declared void.
