This game had been pushed back to the midweek whilst Great Britain were beating New Zealand 17-0 in the First Test at Wembley. Jason Robinson, Gary Connolly, Shaun Edwards, Martin Dermott, Denis Betts and Phil Clarke were involved but the majority backed up here against Leigh.
