The top of the table was beginning to narrow up
significantly with two end of the table battles on this afternoon. Wigan won
one of them with this excellent 28-18 victory away at Hull whilst Leeds won
the other 32-18 at home to Castleford, who lost the league leadership for
the first time since September 11th. Widnes had games in hand still but they
slipped up by only drawing 16-16 at Bradford. Wigan had been seven points
off top spot not so long ago but now found themselves just two points off
top of the table.
