Summary:
Salford gained revenge for their Lancashire Cup Final
defeat by inflicting another league defeat on Wigan. This was now their
fourth loss in the last five league games and left Wigan back in the mid
table. Discipline was the biggest factor with both Dean Bell and Ged Byrne
being sent off before Wigan ended up finishing the game with just 10 men
after Andy Gregory was sin binned for throwing the ball at the referee.
