Wigan were out of the title race and Swinton already relegated at the bottom of the table, so their was little happening here on Easter Monday. Mark Preston though, who had made his debut on Good Friday, scored his first Wigan try following his capture from Flyde Rugby Union. Elsewhere, Widnes and St Helens were battling out a huge game in the title race and Widnes' 16-6 win at Naughton Park practically wrapped up the title for them.
