Wigan's irresistible charge towards their first league
title in 27 years continued with what was a record away victory until beaten
by Hull KR 6 Wigan 84 in April 2013. Wakefield did find a try from John
Lyons right on half time but that was their only reply to 14 Wigan tries. St
Helens and Warrington both won to keep up the challenge on Wigan but it was
beginning to look more and more a forlorn chase.
