Summary:
A crowd of 21,813 packed into Central Park for this
Boxing Day clash and rewarded Wigan with record gate receipts for a league
match of £52,000. Saints took the lead with a try from Gary Grienke, and
continued on to lead 8-4 at half time, but Wigan were far stronger in the
second half and romped home in the end with a superb display. Elsewhere, the
joint league leaders Oldham and Widnes drew 10-10 at Watersheddings.
