Summary:l

Wigan travelled to York with Ellery Hanley, Shaun Edwards and Ian Potter backing up following the second Great Britain v New Zealand test at Central Park the day before. It was a hard slog of a game at Wiggington Road with the score only bursting out in Wigan's favour during the final nine minutes when Colin Whitfield, Steve Ella and Nick Du Toit scored. It completed a seventh consecutive victory for Wigan.
