This match at Barrow ended the regular season and the only thing left to decide here was whether Wigan would play Hull at home in the Premiership Trophy Quarter Finals or Oldham. Victory for Wigan ensured a third placed finish above Leeds and ensure Hull would be visiting for another cup final dress rehearsal just six days before the sides meet at Wembley.
