Summary:l |
Bramley had almost gone out of existence two months
before this cup tie at McClaren Field and the visit of Wigan would be a huge
financial boost for them. They had taken a 3-0 lead with a penalty goal by
Kilner and a drop goal from Carroll but Henderson Gill crossed for Wigan
right on half time with Colin Whitfield converting for a 6-3 lead. Bramley
though re-took the lead in the 50th Minute with a converted try score by
Lister putting them 9-6 in front. Wigan though looked like they had won it
when Graeme West stretched over for a 10-9 lead but a drop goal from Kilner
in the 77th Minute would rescue a replay for Bramley which would bring more
much needed funds to their desperate coffers. |
