Summary:l |
Frost had delayed all first round cup ties, bar the one
at Leeds because they had a heated pitch, for two weeks. Wigan were expected
to have few problems against amateurs Dewsbury Celtic but they were made to
sweat their way through to Round 2 in this tie played at Batley's ground.
Celtic impressed with their sprit and only trailed 5-3 at the break. Wigan
though won through in the end and the home side tarnished their effort with
Wood being Sent Off for them in the 79th Minute, following an incident
with Steve O'Neill. |
