Wigan hadn't played in the league for almost a month and
returned to league action with problems off the field. First Team players
took strike action in argument over bonus payments for the John Player
Trophy victory over New Hunslet. This left Wigan having to change all
thirteen players for this match against Warrington whilst the team list
included three "A.N Others". Despite this, Wigan competed well to only be
11-7 down at the break but fell away second half.
