Summary:

The majority 22,202 crowd enjoyed a great Wigan performance on a hot sunny Good Friday at Central Park. Saints were aiming to stay in  league leaders shield contention with a victory here at Central Park on Good Friday but they ended up being smashed by Wigan instead and with that they would have to settle for second behind Leeds. Saints had narrow the 13-2 half time deficit down to 13-7 but Wigan eventually powered away in the latter stages.

Half Time:

Wigan 13 St Helens 2

Referee:

Joe Manley (Warrington)

Attendance:

22,202
