Wigan took the lead with a Colin Tyrer penalty but a try
from Les Jones put Saints 3-2 ahead. That score stuck for a while until
Tyrer put Wigan 5-3 up at Half Time with an unconverted try. The game ended
up being decided with Saints scoring three tries between the 51st and 58th
Minutes. Tries for Billy Benyon, Tom van Vollenhoven and a second try for
Jones took Saints into a 16-5 lead that was only dented in the last quarter
by a try from Doug Laughton.
