Wigan's form during the season had been so unprecedented and dire that they were struggling to qualify for what was an enormous "Top 16" play offs. They were looking to avoid four consecutive home defeats in this Good Friday clash with St Helens but although they hung in to trail just 10-4 at half time, they were well beaten in the end.

Half Time:l Wigan 4 St Helens 10
