From scoring eleven tries on the Saturday to scoring none here against Widnes. Wigan were aiming to go top of the table but instead produced a woeful effort. Wigan were 15-0 down by half time and the introduction of Chris Hesketh and Tony Stephens off the bench for the second half made little difference. A bitter blow for Wigan's chances of finishing top and also winning the Lancashire League.

Half Time:l Widnes 15 Wigan 0
Referee:l G.Wilson (Dewsbury)
