Summary:l

Saturday's 15-15 draw at Central Park meant a midweek replay and the 3:30pm Kick Off on a Wednesday Afternoon did not stop a ground record crowd of almost 27,000 turning out at Station Road. Swinton totally dominated the replay with holding a 13-0 lead until the 74th Minnute. Two late Wigan tries from Trevor Lake and Brian Shillinglaw but they were far too little, too late to put any sweat on a magnificent Swinton performance.

Half Time:l Swinton 5 Wigan 0
