Wigan needed the win here to keep their "Top 4" play off
hopes alive but their was added spice with Mick Sullivan returning to
Central Park for the first time since he left Wigan to join St Helens back
in January. 45,899 crammed into Central Park for the spectacle and Wigan did
not disappoint but they did get big help towards the win when Vince Karalius left the
field injured after just ten minutes which handicapped them down to 12 men
for the rest of the game. Wigan took advantage to win the game.
