Wigan again met Hull on the same day of a Great Britain
and Australia test match but this time Billy Boston wasn't in the British
side. Eric Ashton, Mick Sullivan, Dave Bolton and Brian McTigue were taking
part in the 11-10 victory at Headingley which levelled the Ashes Series up
at 1-1. Wigan didn't miss them in beating Hull easily at Central Park, Hull
having Johnny Whiteley absent in the test match.
