Match
Summary
Curtain Raising the Bradford v Castleford first team game,
our Under 18s smashed two records in one go. Not only did
they annihilate Bradford's 100% start to their academy
campaign, they also got rid of their own unwanted record of
never having won away from Orrell this season.
They were
in total control from the off with a 34-0 half time lead
being stretched out to 52-10 in the end. Perhaps a little
disappointment they conceded, but after losing by four
points at Castleford and just one point at Hull KR in
previous away trips this season I'm sure both players and
coaching staff will have been delighted with this result.
Second Rower Grant Beechem led the try scoring with a
hat-trick whilst three-quarter Joe Burgess took his try
scoring tally to 11 in just five Under 18s matches this
year.
